Operations Specialist Data & Quality

Job Summary
The Operations Specialist Data & Quality is responsible for ensuring data integrity process compliance and continuous improvement across field greenhouse and cage operations. This role serves as the site quality ambassador leading quality initiatives supporting process standardization and partnering with breeding teams to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
Accountabilties
- Take data measurements on greenhouse field and cage operations such as germination pollination pre-harvest and seed extraction.
- Act as the site quality ambassador to manage compliance with protocols quality and safety.
- Manage and complete process improvement projects and design and present trainings.
- Communicate with supervise and train third-party contract labor teams of up to 5 people ensuring quality standards and performance metrics are met.
- Maintain detailed records about status of trials and plant metrics while working closely with the operations team.
- Collaborate with breeding teams and peers to coordinate project activities and communicate status updates.
- Respond to on-site emergencies and weather-related challenges including occasional weekend work as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and stewardship practices.
Qualifications :
PLEASE NOTE -- Candidates must be already located in the United States and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (Includes OPT).
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Plant Breeding Agribusiness Agronomy Biology Horticulture General Agriculture or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with or ability to learn specialized breeding management software and data collection tools.
Additional Information :
Salary for this position ranges between $66400 - $96000 annually.
