Location: Charlotte NC

Compensation: $120000 $165000 base bonus (DOE)

Well-established public accounting firms are seeking an experienced Tax Managers to lead engagements mentor staff and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The firm values collaboration technical excellence and a modern approach to worklife balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex tax engagements for individuals partnerships S-corps and closely held businesses
• Review returns prepared by staff and seniors for technical accuracy and compliance
• Research complex tax issues and provide practical client solutions
• Support client relationships through proactive communication and tax planning discussions
• Lead mentor and develop team members through review and training
• Assist partners with business development client onboarding and workflow efficiency

Qualifications

• Active CPA license (required)
• 6 years of public accounting experience
• Strong technical knowledge in federal and state tax compliance
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess or UltraTax etc.

Preferred

• Masters degree in Taxation Accounting or related discipline
• Prior experience working with high-net-worth individuals trusts or family offices
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment including time in the office and client sites (minimum 3 days/week)
