About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tele Monitor Technician for a 15-week contract opportunity in York ME. This role is responsible for continuous cardiac rhythm surveillance timely communication with nursing staff and clinicians telemetry documentation EKG support and maintaining high standards of patient monitoring.
Responsibilities
Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and identify rhythm/rate changes Notify RN staff or clinicians immediately of any cardiac rhythm changes Measure interpret and document heart rhythm strips accurately Complete ectopy checks twice per shift Assist with telemetry setup discontinuation and box maintenance Perform EKG-related procedures as needed Communicate clearly with clinical teams units and providers Maintain accurate telemetry charges and chart documentation
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of ECG/Dysrhythmia monitoring experience required BLS/BCLS certification required Knowledge of basic heart anatomy and physiology Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to urgent changes Strong communication documentation and attention-to-detail skills Must be comfortable working mixed day and night 12-hour shifts Holiday coverage required
