A temporary postdoctoral researcher will be hired in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology
Essential Functions
- The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:
- Independently researching designing and performing experimentation on multiple projects
- Taking direction from the PI and collaborators to complete research objectives
- Performing molecular biology techniques including PCR cloning plasmid isolation genomic DNA/RNA isolation DNA Sequencing (Sanger Illumina Nanopore) virus production
- Assisting in CRISPR experimentation transfection of RNPs and viral transductions
- Performing tissue culture on adherent and suspension cells
- Performing cellular assays including but not limited to Western immunoblotting flow cytometry
- Performing all work in a BSL2 or BSL3 environment
- Maintain and update paper and electronic laboratory notebooks
- Compile organize and process data in various software including Microsoft Office PRISM FlowJo a dn lite computational data analysis in Python
- Writing manuscripts grants and progress reports
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Biology
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.

This is a Full-Time temporary position classified as offered pay is based on the successful candidates qualifications and experience departmentbudget and an internal equity review.
