Tekberry is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Non-Conformity Cell Quality Technician to support our client a global leader in rail transportation and mobility solutions at their Plattsburgh NY manufacturing facility. This role supports supplier quality containment inspection and non-conformance management activities in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting quality engineering supplier quality or non-conformity management processes including documentation containment activities ERP systems and supplier communication.

Responsibilities
Characterize and document defects on purchased parts using structured problem-solving methods (5W2H)
Create and manage Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) within ERP systems and supplier quality portals
Secure production lines by identifying isolating and mapping non-conforming material
Coordinate containment sorting inspection and rework activities internally and with suppliers
Organize re-feeding of compliant replacement parts to production lines within takt-time requirements
Block and manage non-conforming inventory and coordinate stock controls
Request and implement inspection criteria and incoming quality control updates within ERP systems
Notify suppliers of NCRs and support supplier-related quality issue resolution
Support supplier rework and containment activities as needed
Participate in daily and weekly meetings with production quality and supplier teams
Monitor KPI metrics related to non-conformities containment supplier response and restricted inventory
Follow all EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) requirements and manufacturing safety procedures
Must-Have Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
Quality engineering supplier quality or non-conformity management
Non-Conformity Report (NCR) processes containment actions and root-cause documentation
ERP systems and supplier quality portals for inspections and reporting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the railway transportation manufacturing or industrial industry
Familiarity with manufacturing safety guidelines and procedures
Experience supporting containment sorting inspection or supplier quality activities
Understanding of quality KPIs and non-conformance tracking processes
Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting
Requires a combination of sitting standing walking bending stooping and reaching throughout the shift
