Job Summary

The Quality Specialist serves as the site-level quality leader responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System ensuring product quality and supporting compliance with customer regulatory and certification requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead site-level Quality Management System activities.
  • Manage nonconforming material corrective actions root cause investigations document control calibration and quality records.
  • Oversee receiving in-process final and first article inspection activities.
  • Coordinate internal customer and certification audits.
  • Track audit findings and corrective actions through completion.
  • Monitor and report quality objectives metrics trends and recurring issues.
  • Support product release by verifying inspection testing and documentation requirements.
  • Train employees on quality procedures inspection requirements and QMS processes.
  • Maintain records required by applicable standards certifications and customer requirements.
  • Support supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Participate in new product introductions process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations engineering and leadership to resolve quality concerns.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in quality engineering manufacturing business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified quality system.
  • Experience with audits non-conformance management corrective actions calibration inspection and quality documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and inspection practices.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to analyze quality data trends and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and ERP or quality management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy judgment and attention to detail.
