Job Description

Job Summary:

This position will participate in the technical build test and processing of Teledyne FLIR Ranger high definition camera - mid range systems (HDC- MR) in support of all phases of production.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform system level functional and optical performance testing and troubleshooting on a variety of challenging surveillance/defense sub-assemblies and finished end-product camera systems.

• Test camera systems and critical sub-assembly components in accordance to manufacturing test specifications (test instructions test data sheets functional ATPs optical alignment performance criteria and system discrepancy reporting).

• Interface with production team and technical support staff to maintain manufacturing quality and efficiency while actively participating in day-to-day manufacturing goals.

• Inspect and verify all daily work to ensure it is performed accurately and efficiently according to all quality performance specifications.

• Interface with technical team to ensure all manufacturing test methods are standardized and documented to the latest versions.

• Support the maintenance of test fixtures and test equipment.

• As directed provide support in test process improvement projects.

Job Qualifications:

• 3 years of related technical experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

• Associates Degree in electronics or technical equivalent a plus.

• Technical versatility in electrical mechanical and/or optical alignment testing strongly preferred; infrared (IR) testing experience a plus.

• Troubleshooting skills and proficiency with setting up and using test and alignment equipment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer systems for digital work instructions test data collection traceability reporting and communication.

• Practical problem-solving skills.

• Attention to technical details.

• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

• Collaboration teamwork and ability to contribute independently.

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen U.S. national legal permanent resident asylee refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
