The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing molding machines auxiliary equipment and automated systems to support efficient and uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background with a proactive approach to equipment reliability and process optimization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines (e.g. Engel Milacron etc..) and automation equipment (e.g. robotics conveyors pick-and-place systems).
Diagnose and repair electrical hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical issues in production equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot auxiliary systems including dryers chillers mold temperature controllers and vacuum systems.
Support mold changes and setups by ensuring proper alignment and function of mechanical and automated systems.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery or automation upgrades.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring equipment issues.
Follow all safety protocols and ensure work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
