Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the daily instructional and operational functions of the school library by assisting students in locating checking out and returning books and other materials as well as helping staff and teachers access library resources. This role includes supporting the district librarian with daily activities using and maintaining the library database and organizing shelving and maintaining the collection to ensure materials are accessible and well-kept. Also helps reinforce student library and research skills while maintaining a safe welcoming and organized environment for all students and staff throughout the school day.
Requirements: To qualify candidatesmust have an Associates Degree/48 college credits or paraprofessional certificate withappropriate and relevant experience.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK:In order to begin employment in any PA public school all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168) physicians health form and recently completed TB test.
