Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Neurosurgery

A respected healthcare organization in Longmont CO is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens NP or PA to support its Neurosurgery team.

• Provide advanced practice support to neurosurgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct preoperative and postoperative evaluations followup visits and patient education.
• Assist with hospital rounds consults and care coordination for neurosurgical patients.
• Manage acute and chronic neurosurgical conditions under physician supervision.
• Perform procedures within scope (e.g. wound care suture removal drain management).
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with facility standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons nurses care coordinators and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8a-5p
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Patient Population: Adults
• Duties: Post-op appointments inbasket management and OR assistance
• Support Staff: MA
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• DEA and BLS preferred
• Paid travel & expenses

• Active NP or PA license with ability to practice in Colorado
• National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA)
• Prior neurosurgery or surgical specialty experience strongly preferred
• Strong assessment procedural and criticalthinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
