About Bentley Labs

Bentley Laboratories is an OTC and cGMP formulation development and manufacturing partner for over 100 brands in the skin care OTC and personal care industry based in three sites spanning 350000 total sq. feet in the Edison NJ area. Our customers are located across the country and we produce well over 3000 different products utilizing a wide range of chemistries and over 50 manufacturing and production lines including:

• Surfactant chemistries to formulate and produce hair care bath & body care products
• Oil in water & water in oil emulsion formulations for skin care and OTCs including SPF and Acne treatments
• Hot fill applications for solid stick deodorants lip balms and other wax based ointments
• Powders for dry shampoos and other loose power face applications

With this diverse and complex set of capabilities the company employs over 400 people with 250 devoted to the manufacturing conversion processes and the remainder in salary roles devoted to innovation product development engineering finance sales marketing procurement and customer service. The VP of Finance is a key member of the company executive team and plays a critical role in our overall operations finance accounting and business leadership.

AboutTheFinanceTeam

Based within the Beauty Division of the businessTheFinanceTeam is responsible forinvoicing and receiving cash from customers paying suppliers whilst maximizing internal cashflow monitoring operational overhead spend and maximizing value add to the business expands and takes on new challenges in the form of acquired businesses or new ventures finance is there to support every step of the way leading to dynamic and challenging roles no two days are the same! Common characteristics among our team are the ability to drive change adaptability and resourcefulness to ensure we can keep pace with the business without compromising on financial control or sales performance.

Reporting toSenior Finance Manager theLedgerAssistantis responsible foraidingthe finance team including both financial accounts andmanagementaccounts.Daily tasks will vary between invoicing our customers reconciling bank transactions to paying our suppliers.

As a Ledger Assistant youll:

• Sustain high levels of customer service when communicating with our suppliers and customers
• Run weekly and monthly reports to support reconciliationsand month end
• To process invoicesand credit notes accurately andtimely
• Ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize time sensitive tasks
• To produceaccuratemonth end reports across purchase and sales ledger
• To follow all companypolicesand procedures raising any concerns to theFinance Director
• Toassistinmaintainingbank reconciliations
• Tomaintaindebtors and creditor balances
• Producing statement reconciliations for both customers and suppliers
• To assist and perform any other accounts duties as and when required
• Communicating effectively and positively with all teamscolleaguesand managers.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety for yourself and other persons who may be affected by your work
• To cooperate with regards toall companyhealth & safetymeasures following H&S training when using equipment
• Report to a person inauthorityany work situation which mayrepresenta serious or imminent danger to health & safetyor any shortcomingsin the protection arrangements to health & respect of any hazards remember seeit report it
• Helping topromote a positive working atmosphere within the company.
• Any other duties that may berequiredfrom time to time.

• Ledger or accounting experience
