Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Hospitalist

This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care in a supportive hospital environment playing a critical role in patient management and well-being.

As a Locum NP/PA you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care collaborating with physicians and working to optimize patient outcomes within our medical practice. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless healthcare delivery while enriching your experience in a fast-paced setting.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic health records
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care initiatives
• Assist in the management of patient flow and hospital protocols
• Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant license
• Associate degree in Nursing Health Sciences or related field
• Experience in a hospitalist or acute care setting
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Schedule: 6a-3p 3- to 5- day blocks

No call requirement

Patient Volume: Rounding on 10-12 patients per day 10 admissions and 2 consults

Patient Population: Elderly

Case Types: Low to medium acuity

Must be board-certified
