About the Job

InterDent is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering high-quality patient this role you will work closely with dentists hygienists and administrative staff to ensure a positive patient experience while assisting with a wide range of dental procedures. Your ability to provide exceptional chairside assistance maintain a safe clinical environment and build trusting relationships with patients will contribute directly to our mission of improving oral health.
As a valued member of our practice you will prepare treatment rooms assist during restorative and preventive procedures educate patients on oral hygiene and maintain accurate clinical documentation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where teamwork continuous learning and patient-centered care are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized.
• Assist dentists during examinations restorative procedures extractions crowns bridges and other dental treatments.
• Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Record patient medical histories treatment notes and clinical information accurately.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices post-treatment care and preventive dental health.
• Prepare dental materials instruments and equipment for clinical procedures.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization protocols at all times.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient flow as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Deliver compassionate professional service while ensuring patient comfort throughout each visit.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
• Current Dental Assistant certification or registration as required by state regulations.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Knowledge of dental terminology chairside assisting techniques and infection control procedures.
• Experience taking digital dental radiographs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with electronic dental records and practice management software is a plus.

Bonus Points

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification where applicable.
• Experience with digital imaging systems and intraoral scanners.
• Familiarity with Dentrix Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software.
• Experience assisting with pediatric orthodontic oral surgery or specialty dental procedures.
