Junior Access Control Specialist
Overview: Aether Aerospace is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Physical Security Specialist to support security operations at Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment (FRC ASE). This position plays a key role in maintaining facility security managing access control systems and supporting compliance with Navy and COMFRC security directives.
The selected candidate will work closely with government security staff gaining valuable hands-on experience in physical security operations facility management and security program administration.
Duties/Responsibilites:
- Administer the command Key Control Program in accordance with COMFRC instructions.
- Manage and maintain the facilitys electronic access control system.
- Assist government staff and contractors with facility access and credentialing support.
- Maintain and update security-related instructions and documentation in compliance with Navy and COMFRC directives including: Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP)/ Emergency Action Plans (EAP)
- Coordinate with emergency response personnel including fire and police departments as required.
- Serve as a liaison between the COMFRC Security Director and FRCASE leadership operations and facility personnel.
- Support and coordinate annual Physical Security Surveys.
- Assist leadership with security-related training initiatives and awareness programs.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned by the COMFRC Security Director.
Qualifications Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Less than four (4) years of experience performing duties related to physical security facility security access control or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively under the guidance and oversight of senior personnel.
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Qualifications Desired:
- Familiarity with Navy or Department of Defense security procedures and directives.
- Experience with electronic access control systems or key control programs.
- Prior experience supporting military government or industrial facilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Active security clearance.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
