Job Summary: The Instructional Technology Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the District by integrating technology into teaching and learning processes. The coordinator works closely with educators administrators and students to enhance the educational experience through technology integration and the districts learning management system Canvas. This role requires technical expertise pedagogical knowledge the ability to communicate with multiple groups of people and a passion for improving education outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in education instructional technology or a related field.
  • Proficiency with various educational technology tools software and learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with educators and students.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technology-related challenges.
  • Analytical skills for data analysis and assessment of technology integration.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to educational technology and data privacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide professional learning opportunities in a positive manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify opportunities for integrating technology into the curriculum and instructional practices.
  • Training and Professional Development: Provide training and professional development sessions for educators on the implementation of educational technology tools and platforms ensuring they are proficient in using these tools effectively.
  • Curriculum Support: Assist in developing technology-enhanced lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with educational standards and goals fostering innovative and engaging learning experiences.
  • Digital Resource Management and On-Boarding: Curate and manage a repository of digital resources including digital curriculum platforms educational software apps and online content to support instructional objectives.
  • Evaluate and Recommend Technology Solutions: Research evaluate and recommend appropriate technology solutions and tools that align with educational objectives considering budget constraints and addition assist with evaluating digital curricular resources during curricular reviews.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data related to technology usage and its impact on student performance and learning outcomes making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Technology Department Staff Instruction Office curriculum specialists and administrators to ensure seamless technology integration across the institution.
  • Learning Management System Maintenance: Ensure that Canvas and Google Classroom the districts Learning Management Systems are maintained accessible and support is provided for all users. Ability to work with outside company representatives to provide seamless support to end-users in the district.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in educational technology and instructional design and share this knowledge with colleagues.
  • Accessibility and Inclusivity: Advocate for and ensure that educational technology is accessible and inclusive for all students including those with diverse learning needs.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that employee must meet to successfully perform the functions of this position. The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for long periods. The employee is also required to move about the building and required to open and close filing cabinets operate office equipment and computers. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl talk hear (in a quiet or noisy environment). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and ability to adjust/focus. The employee may travel to remote locations including other district buildings. The employee spends a majority of their time communicating with staff and administrators and must be able to exchange and record accurate information in these situations. Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is consistent with an office environment and is usually quiet but frequently busy. This position is frequently required to interact with staff and with the public which requires courtesy and discretion. A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and make independent decisions using sound judgment.
