About the Opportunity
A respected nonprofit regional healthcare system is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Information Systems Operations & Technology to provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise technology infrastructure and information systems operations.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer this executive will ensure the reliability security and continuous improvement of the organization's technology environment while supporting clinical operational and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative forward-thinking healthcare IT leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about leveraging technology to improve organizational performance and the delivery of care.
Position Summary
The Executive Director of Information Systems Operations & Technology is responsible for the operational integrity availability security and performance of the organization's technology infrastructure and enterprise information systems. This leader oversees day-to-day IT operations while driving long-term infrastructure planning operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with executive leadership clinical stakeholders and business partners this individual ensures technology services support a safe efficient and high-performing healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership for all IT operations infrastructure and enterprise technology services.
Ensure the availability performance reliability and security of mission-critical clinical business and operational information systems 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Lead enterprise infrastructure strategy operational planning and technology modernization initiatives.
Partner with cybersecurity leadership to proactively identify mitigate and respond to information security risks.
Build mentor and develop high-performing teams of IT directors managers engineers analysts and technical support professionals.
Establish operational standards service levels governance and performance metrics that support organizational goals.
Collaborate with executive clinical and operational leaders to align technology initiatives with strategic priorities.
Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory accreditation privacy and security standards.
Foster a culture of accountability collaboration innovation continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
Identify operational challenges and implement effective scalable solutions that improve organizational efficiency and system performance.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science Health Information Management or a related field.
Preferred
Master's degree in Information Technology Healthcare Administration Business Administration or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive healthcare information technology leadership experience.
At least five (5) years of experience leading managers technical teams and enterprise IT operations.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale infrastructure operations and technology initiatives within a complex healthcare environment.
Experience with IT service management infrastructure operations disaster recovery cybersecurity collaboration and regulatory compliance.
