Job Summary

POSITION: Community Assistant (Part-Time Non-Exempt)

COMPENSATION: Hourly Rate plus Benefits eligibility

SUMMARY: Through a strategic partnership between Capstone Management Partners (CMP) and Cardinal Group Management we are providing for-purpose on-campus student housing management across the United States. CMP is focused on providing customized management services specific to university partners who prefer to outsource operations and facilities management while maintaining control over residential life services. For this reason CMP is primarily focused on affiliated campus-edge and on-campus student housing facilities. CMP combines the strength and experience of a nationally renowned housing development and asset management company with the skills efficiencies and procedures of one of the most innovative and prolific student housing property managers in the country Cardinal Group Management. A Community Assistant is an adaptive outgoing and hardworking leader. This position requires the ability to maintain high-quality customer service and safety awareness and manage administrative daily tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to)

â Welcomes students and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering questions or referring inquiries.

â Ability to work coinciding with the teams weekly schedule 8 am-5 pm in 4-8 hour shifts

â Maintains a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures rules and regulations.

â Assist with the move-in and move-out procedures for all residents.

â Assist with the turnover process inside the units between Summer sessions.

â Uses MS Word and Outlook effectively to create documents send emails and maintain calendar appointments.

â Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related administrative tasks as needed.

â Answer phones and emails for CMP regarding facilities and customer service as directed.

â Escort and oversight of on-site vendors as needed.

â Manage the lockout/key system for residents. Verify and audit access requests for checkout and check-ins as needed.

â Participates in Cardinal U as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

â High school diploma or equivalent.

â Ability to use Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook accurately and effectively.

â Excellent customer service skills.

â Excellent verbal and written communication.

â Timely detail-oriented and motivated to come to work!

â Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

â Ability to work up to thirty hours per week including weekends as assigned (move in move out etc)

â Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinals Core Values every day.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member frequently is required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 40 pounds.
