JOB TITLE: Business Office Float
JOB SUMMARY: The Business Office Float is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office as necessary.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answering phones
Patient Billing Posting Payments Collections
Chart preparation
Filing
Insurance Verification
Medical Records
Patient Registration
Scheduling
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum 2 years Medical Office experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of computers with experience in windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
Experience with medical practice billing software necessary
Team player Ability to communicate effectively with center management center staff patients their families the physicians and their staff
Ability to read write and speak the English language
Detail oriented; Ability to handle frequent interruptions that result in having to re-evaluate priorities
Proficient in medical terminology
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal busy office environment with much telephone work.
