Job Summary
Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management in the operations of the PTA Program including coordination of instructional programs and course activities and participate in program compliance and accreditation processes. Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate classroom instruction student conferences and meetings. Instruct courses within the curriculum. Facilitate classroom materials books equipment supplies and telecommunication system needs. Develop review and evaluate courses and curriculum. Secure clinical sites and monitor contracts for PTA Program. Create clinical schedules for PTA Program. Hire assign and evaluate instructors. Maintain program accreditation and stay current on accreditor guidelines. Assist in data collection of annual reports for assessment and accreditation in the PTA Program. Commitment to cultural diversity among students faculty and in the curriculum. Use excellent communication and human relation skills. Use database applications to create and manage files and communicate requested information maintaining confidentiality. Serves on various committees. Other duties as assigned relevant to position. This is a full-time grade 8 administrative position with an annual wage of $67152. Work schedule Monday- Friday 8am-5pm. Benefits include health dental long-term disability and life insurance; retirement tuition waiver; paid vacation sick leave and holidays.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in related field or current progress in Masters program. Current Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant licensure or Physical Therapist licensure. Five years professional work experience. Effective oral and written communication and human relation skills. Effective organizational skills particularly as they relate to the teaching-learning process. Demonstrated experience in student learning and teaching excellence.
