Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a qualified candidate for the Accountant position in the Corporate Finance & Accounting Department. As an integral member of this dynamic office the ideal candidate exemplifies DPRs four core valuesintegrity uniqueness enjoyment and ever forwardand must have solid communication skills and a collaborative can-do attitude.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries account reconciliations and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes ensuring compliance with established deadlines and accounting policies.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Partner with operational teams to understand business activities and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Perform special projects other ad-hoc duties as needed

Additional position requirements include the following:

• Bachelors degree in accounting with 1-3 years experience; CPA preferred
• Intermediate/advanced excel skills
• Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to confidentiality and handling of sensitive company information
• Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution
• Successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy meeting deadlines and exercising sound judgment with limited oversight
• Challenge existing practices and proactively recommend innovative solutions that improve both accounting operations and business outcomes.
• Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement helping transform accounting from a transaction-processing function into a strategic business partner.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail a process-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving continuous improvement and task execution.
