Senior Accountant

Location: Kansas City MO
Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite. After training there may be an option to work from home one day per week.
Salary: $80000 to $105000 annually

Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support accounting operations financial reporting and month-end and year-end close activities. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records strengthen internal controls and provide financial insights for business decisions.

• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Support audits tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning.
• Analyze financial results variances and key performance metrics.
• Improve financial reporting and accounting processes.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational objectives.
• Support accounts payable accounts receivable and subsidiary financial reporting as needed.
• Use ERP systems and financial data to identify trends and improve reporting efficiency.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
