Reports to:Hierarchically to Managing Director Singapore and functionally to Finance & Operations Director APAC
The Finance Manager serves as the Head of Finance for the Singapore entity and acts as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director. He/she will take charge of the management and statutory reporting of the Singapore entities (IMCD Singapore Pte Ltd and IMCD Asia Pte Ltd).
This role works in close collaboration with the APAC Regional Finance Controller and reports functionally to the APAC Finance & Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Compliance
Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure timely submission of monthly quarterly or yearly reporting and analysis
Work closely with HR for payroll review and bonus provision
Manage the annual tax filing with tax consultants and ensure compliance with GST and withholding tax
Handle the transfer pricing documentation with the support of Group Taxation and external consultants
Manage the annual statutory audit and any internal or tax audits
Review internal processes and work with relevant functions on internal controls
Coordinate with the corporate secretary for annual filing directors resolutions and any related matters
Performance Management & Controlling
Assess and track the business profitability cost variance KPIs deficiencies overall performance and identify opportunities to optimise profitability.
Working capital optimization including stocks and debtors key metrices
Prepare and present the budget quarterly forecasts and long-term plan processes for two Singapore entities
Cashflow management for both Singapore entities
Others
Conduct training or briefing sessions to the Singapore team when necessary
Delegated One Identity rep to manage system access for all Singapore employees
Lead relevant system or process implementations
Manage and review company insurance coverage
Collaborations
Coach and provide guidance to senior accountants
Work with operations and supply chain on day-to-day and warehouse related matters
Work with commercial team on budgets margins pipelines
Address queries from Group (Corporate Control Group Tax Group Treasury)
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Preferred Profile
Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent professional finance qualification
Experienced in financial management local tax and statutory reporting
Big 4 audit experience is preferred
Strong communication skills a collaborative team player and able to effectively manage stakeholders
Hands on pro-active and a self-starter
Excellent understanding of local regulations and financial updates
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and lead internal trainings
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Excel Word and PowerPoint
Prior experience in using ERP systems and reporting tools is advantageous; open to learn and adopt digital tools
