About Savannah Resources

Savannah Resources is a mineral resources development company with nearly 15 years of global experience listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker SAV. The company is the sole owner of the Barroso Lithium Project in northern Portugal currently the largest identified spodumene lithium resource in Europe.

Through the Barroso Lithium Project Savannah will help position Portugal as a strategic supplier of locally sourced lithium raw materials ensuring a sustainable long-term supply for the rapidly growing European battery value chain.

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2027 with production expected to commence in 2028. Once operational the Barroso Lithium Project will produce enough lithium to supply approximately half a million electric vehicle batteries each March 2025 the project was recognised by the European Commission through its inclusion on the list of Strategic Projects.

As part of its growth strategy Savannah is expanding and is looking to recruit talented professionals to take on key roles at this exciting stage of the projects development.

About the Role

The candidate will join the finance team assuming a key role in the companys daily treasury management. This role will be responsible for controlling liquidity preparing and executing payments monitoring cash flows and supporting the optimization of financial processes. He will also ensure the maintenance of operational relationships with banking institutions and other financial partners at Group level especially in Portugal and in the UK.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills high accuracy priority management skills and experience in dynamic business environments.

Role and Responsabilities:

Manage the companys daily treasury operations.

Monitor bank balances and cash positions.

Prepare and update cash forecasts.

Perform bank reconciliations and investigate identified discrepancies.

Support the management of the companys liquidity and financing needs.

Ensure the maintenance of operational relationships with banking institutions and other financial partners.

Accompany bank guarantees letters of credit and other financial instruments when applicable.

Collaborate with the preparation of cash flow reports financial position and cash flow indicators.

Support the monthly closing processes internal audits and external audits.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of treasury and financial control processes.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and internal control requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Background in Finance Business Management Economics or similar field.

Minimum experience of 3 years in Treasury Financial Control or Financial Management functions.

Experience in managing payments and bank reconciliations.

Experience in the use of ERP systems (Primavera SAP Business Central or equivalent) and electronic banking platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Solid knowledge of corporate treasury and liquidity management.
  • Native Portuguese speaker and good written and spoken English.
  • Experience in preparing cash flow forecasts.
  • Good knowledge of financial accounting.
  • Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP (Primavera SAP Business Central or equivalent) and electronic banking platforms.

  • Experience in the implementation or optimization of treasury processes.
