ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

Were looking for a Product Manager to help shape and scale digital travel authorisation solutions that enable governments to securely assess traveller eligibility before departure improve border security and deliver frictionless traveller experiences.

Youll work on products such as Travel Authorisation platforms and related digital traveller services enabling governments to implement digital declarations electronic travel authorisation (ETA) and eVisa programmes automate traveller screening and streamline border processes while maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory and security requirements.

Joining at a formative stage of product evolution youll help define product vision strategy and roadmap working closely with government agencies industry partners and internal teams to validate opportunities and prioritise the highest-impact outcomes.

Youll sit within a cross-functional portfolio spanning product solutions engineering delivery and customer engagement ensuring customer needs operational realities technology opportunities and business priorities remain tightly aligned.

Its an opportunity to help redefine how travellers interact with border authorities before their journey begins leveraging AI automation and digital identity capabilities to build trusted secure and scalable border management solutions.

WHAT YOULL DO

  1. Lead product discovery activities to identify customer problems and opportunities related to digital travel authorisation traveller eligibility assessment border security and traveller experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to accelerate insight generation.
  2. Define and clearly articulate product vision strategy and measurable outcomes ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives customer priorities and business goals.
  3. Translate complex government policies regulatory requirements traveller journeys and operational processes into clear prioritised product requirements and roadmaps.
  4. Work closely with Product Owners architects and engineering teams to deliver scalable secure and high-performing travel authorisation capabilities using agile development practices.
  5. Apply AI across the product lifecycle including traveller behaviour analysis requirements exploration risk assessment optimisation workflow automation prototyping and decision support.
  6. Build business cases and value propositions that demonstrate measurable security operational efficiency revenue generation and traveller experience benefits for government customers.
  7. Partner with Product Marketing and Commercial teams to develop go-to-market strategies positioning messaging and customer engagement plans for travel authorisation and digital border solutions.
  8. Support sales proposals and government tender activities acting as a subject matter expert for travel authorisation pre-arrival processing border security workflows and traveller screening capabilities.
  9. Define and monitor product success metrics including application volumes traveller conversion rates approval times operational efficiency customer adoption compliance outcomes and business impact.
  10. Continuously assess market trends government policy developments international travel regulations digital identity initiatives and emerging technologies particularly AI and automation to identify opportunities for product innovation.
  11. Engage with a global network of government stakeholders industry partners and internal teams ensuring real-world feedback and operational insights drive continuous product improvement.
Qualifications External

WHO YOU ARE

  1. 5 years in a Product Management role ideally with at least 2 years working on digital platforms traveller-facing applications government technology solutions identity products or workflow-driven systems.
  2. Proven product discovery and strategy skills; you can identify customer problems test hypotheses validate opportunities and translate insights into a clear prioritised roadmap.
  3. Experience defining product vision strategy and measurable outcomes aligning product investments with customer needs portfolio objectives and business goals.
  4. Ability to translate complex government policies operational processes traveller journeys and regulatory requirements into clear actionable product requirements and user-centric solutions.
  5. Experience working closely with Engineering and Product Owners to deliver scalable secure and high-performing digital products using agile methodologies.
  6. Experience delivering mobile applications or mobile-first digital services with a strong understanding of user experience customer journeys digital onboarding authentication and user engagement. Able to balance traveller experience with security privacy and regulatory requirements.
  7. Strong stakeholder engagement skills comfortable facilitating discovery design-thinking validation and roadmap discussions with government customers industry partners and internal teams.
  8. A pragmatic hands-on approach to AI; you actively use AI-enabled tools in your everyday work for research analysis requirements exploration prototyping risk assessment and communication.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to shape compelling narratives and influence technical operational commercial and executive stakeholders.
  10. Strong customer-centric mindset balancing security compliance operational efficiency and traveller experience to deliver measurable outcomes.

NICE TO HAVE

  1. Domain knowledge or prior experience in border management travel authorisation (ETA/eTA) eVisa digital identity traveller screening immigration or aviation technology.
  2. Experience working with government agencies public sector organisations or regulated industries where compliance policy privacy and security requirements are critical.
  3. Understanding of traveller identity verification biometrics digital credentials risk assessment or fraud prevention capabilities. Travel Authorization includes identity and traveller assessment features supporting government decision making.
  4. Experience delivering traveller-facing digital services including mobile applications web portals self-service workflows or digital onboarding solutions. Travel Authorization includes mobile and web-based application channels.
  5. Familiarity with AI-assisted decision support intelligent workflow automation analytics or risk-based operational processes. Travel Authorization planning materials reference AI-assisted prioritisation risk insights and officer decision support capabilities.
  6. A genuine curiosity for global travel border security digital identity and how technology can create safer more seamless journeys for travellers while improving government operations.
