Procurement Manager Business Services
Job Summary
Leads procurement teams across a portfolio of goods and services. Responsible for developing and executing global and in-country category and contract management strategies while driving team performance programme delivery and high-level stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. People Leadership
- Lead coach and inspire a high-performing procurement team to achieve their full potential.
- Drive personal development talent retention and robust succession planning.
2. Category & Contract Strategy
- Develop macro-level global category strategies balancing cost quality service and risk mitigation.
- Identify and lead strategic workshops focused on sourcing procurement-led change and contract optimization.
3. Programme Delivery
- Ensure effective governance resource allocation and timely execution of the category programme.
- Maintain a balanced project pipeline aligned with overarching business objectives and financial plans.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary procurement partner for senior stakeholders (up to Board level).
- Navigate and influence a complex multi-cultural international stakeholder environment.
- Build trust challenge status quo with credible insights and align procurement vision with business ambitions.
- Commercial Operator: Deep expertise in total cost of ownership (TCO) and financial modelling; skilled at leveraging market insights and streamlining processes to optimize project design cost and timelines.
- Strategic Thinker: Analytical and creative problem-solver capable of turning data and market intelligence into innovative procurement solutions.
- Master Influencer: Expert at navigating matrixed international organisations building cross-functional rapport and bringing stakeholders along on the procurement journey.
