Position: Operations Finance Analyst

Reports to: Assistant Site Controller / Site Controller / Operations Finance Manager
Role Overview
The Operations Finance Analyst supports the Operations Finance organization by performing transactional analysis reporting and cost-related activities for manufacturing operations. The role focuses on data accuracy timely reporting and execution of standardized finance processes under defined procedures and supervision.
This position is an execution-focused analytical role and serves as an entry point into manufacturing and operations finance supporting cost accounting planning and reporting activities while collaborating with Operations Finance FP&A and site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Period-End Activities
Perform assigned month-end quarter-end and year-end closing activities in line with defined procedures
Prepare standard journal entries accruals and supporting documentation
Support balance sheet reconciliations and data validation activities
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of assigned financial reports
Cost Accounting & Transactional Support
Perform standardized cost accounting activities including cost allocations and distributions
Support data collection for manufacturing cost analysis and variance reporting
Execute predefined calculations related to production costs and inventories
Ensure transactional accuracy according to documented desktop procedures (DTPs)
Management Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and distribute recurring management reports within agreed service levels
Maintain reporting templates files and datasets used by Operations Finance
Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests under guidance from senior finance stakeholders
Support variance analysis by compiling and validating underlying data
Planning Budgeting & Forecasting Support
Support coordination of planning budgeting and forecasting processes
Upload validate and reconcile data in planning and reporting systems
Contribute to preparation of operational plan reporting and forecasts
Assist in ensuring consistency and completeness of submitted financial data
Finance Data Management
Maintain and update master data used in reporting and planning tools
Ensure integrity and consistency of financial datasets across systems
Support data clean-up validation and standardization initiatives
Business Partnering & Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Operations Finance Commercial Finance FP&A and Operations
Support finance stakeholders by providing accurate and timely financial information
Act as a reliable finance contact for standardized requests and analyses
Demonstrate strong teamwork and service mindset
Scope & Level of Responsibility
Executes clearly defined and standardized finance activities
Operates under supervision with limited independent judgment
No ownership of final financial decisions or site-level results
No people management responsibility
Low to moderate financial risk mitigated through procedures and reviews
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field
Initial experience in finance or accounting is beneficial
Experience in a manufacturing or shared service environment is a plus
Skills & Competencies
Strong affinity for working with numbers and financial data
Basic understanding of finance and accounting processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with SAP JD Edwards or other ERP systems is an advantage
Structured analytical and detail-oriented working style
Strong accountability and customer-service mindset
Languages
English: Proficient
Local language: Advantageous depending on location
