Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and curious Medical Trainee to join our Immunology Medical Affairs team in Portugal.

This opportunity is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is interested in developing a career in the pharmaceutical industry and gaining practical experience in Medical Affairs with a specific focus on the Immunology therapeutic area.

The Medical Trainee will work closely with the Immunology Medical Affairs team and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to support scientific and medical activities related to AbbVies Immunology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Medical Affairs team in the preparation and review of scientific and medical materials.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize relevant scientific evidence.
  • Assist with the development of medical education materials and internal scientific presentations.
  • Support the organization of scientific meetings advisory boards and congress activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of responses to medical information requests.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Clinical Development Regulatory Affairs Market Access Pharmacovigilance and Commercial teams.
  • Monitor developments in relevant therapeutic areas and communicate key insights to the team.
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with AbbVie policies local regulations and industry codes.

Qualifications :

  • University degree in Medicine Pharmacy Biomedical Sciences Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Previous academic or professional exposure to Medical Affairs clinical research or the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of scientific literature and evidence-based medicine.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and international environment.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
