Job Summary
Quality is at the center of everything we do. We are looking for a rigorous proactive Engineering Intern with a vision for improvement to join our Quality Department at the Albergaria-a-Velha plant.
If you want to make a real impact digitize processes and ensure the compliance and excellence of our daily operations this internship is for you. You will have the opportunity to work directly on the shop floor cross-reference data with operational practices and interact with different teams across the plant.
- Process Mapping: Survey and map current processes identifying flows and opportunities for improvement and standardization.
- Data Analysis: Collect process and analyze operational and quality data from the plant transforming it into actionable information for decision-making.
- Documentation Management: Review update and optimize internal procedures and work instructions ensuring that Quality standards are always up-to-date and clear to everyone.
- Digitalization and Development (AppSheets): Develop agile applications (AppSheets within our Google environment) to manage and optimize the MMR (Material Management Review / Non-Conforming Materials) process making it faster more intuitive and paperless.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate Quality activities and action plans in collaboration with various plant departments (Production Continuous Improvement Engineering Maintenance).
- Training: Support the preparation and facilitation of training sessions on Quality standards tools and culture for operational teams.
- Higher Education (Bachelors or Masters degree) in Quality Engineering Industrial Engineering and Management Materials Engineering (or related fields).
- Rigor attention to detail and strong analytical skills to interpret industrial data.
- Affinity for technology and process digitalization (our daily work is done within the Google ecosystem and you must be comfortable with or very willing to learn how to create AppSheets).
- Good communication skills empathy and ease in interacting with different operational and management levels.
- Dynamic organized profile with the initiative to propose new solutions and improvements.
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
- Paid Internship (12-month duration).
