Hardware Design Engineer (fmdiv.)
Job Summary
Your contribution to something big:
You will cover the full lifecycle of hardware development taking technical ownership of complex designs for automotive platforms from initial architecture to series production. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Execute complex electronic hardware development tasks including schematics simulations and BOM creation.
- Define and justify electronic hardware architecture and key design decisions with system- and vehicle-level impact.
- Act as the technical authority for electronic hardware topics within the product line guiding development from requirements through to release.
- Lead hardware design reviews audits and cross-functional technical discussions with international teams and customers.
- Represent hardware development in project milestones technical reviews and release decisions clearly communicating risks and mitigation plans.
- Independently analyze and resolve complex hardware issues including EMC thermal management aging and derating.
- Optimize designs for cost robustness safety and manufacturability ensuring readiness for industrialization and series production.
Qualifications :
What distinguishes you:
- Education: University degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics or a similar relevant technical field.
- Experience: Solid and proven professional experience in electronic hardware development within the automotive industry with a track record of leading complex designs or platforms.
- Know-how:
- Deep understanding of analogue design principles and simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of hardware validation release processes and automotive standards (EMC thermal and functional safety).
- Proven ability to lead technical reviews perform root-cause analysis and make critical design decisions.
- Languages: Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
- Working Style and Methods: Highly structured systematic and proactive. Excellent capability to manage complex projects mitigate risks and drive technical progress.
- Personality: Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence without direct authority build consensus and interface effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
