Extracurricular Internship Embedded Software Engineer eBike (fmdiv.)

Your contribution to something big: 

• Develop and maintain software tools for early prototyping R&D activities embedded testing and product certification.
• Support the development and optimization of the embedded software toolchain contributing to improved efficiency and productivity across the development process.
• Create and enhance automation solutions including scripts build processes and CI/CD workflows that support software development and industrialization.
• Collaborate with international and cross-functional teams to develop user-friendly GUI and CLI applications for embedded systems and engineering activities.
• Contribute to software quality and traceability by applying version control documentation artifact management and modern development best practices.

Qualifications :

What distinguishes you:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic Electrical Mechatronic Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Active involvement in academic projects personal coding projects or hardware hobbies is highly valued.
• Know-how:
  • Good knowledge in C embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages particularly Python.
  • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems systems and their integration in the development process.
  • Basic understanding of low-level hardware concepts.
  • Experience with Hardware probing tools.
  • Exposure to basic communication interfaces (e.g. UART SPI I2C CAN).
  • Ability to read basic hardware schematics or component datasheets.
  • Knowledge about toolchain development including ARM GNU tools and CMake.
  • Understanding of electronic circuits and bare metal development.
• Languages: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Working Style and Personality: Enthusiastic eager to learn and curious. A proactive team player with good communication skills who is motivated by hardware-software integration.
