Job Summary

Your contribution to something big: 

As an Export Control Classification Specialist you play an essential role in ensuring Bosch Groups compliance with international trade regulations and sanctions regimes. Your expertise will help us
navigate classification of goods for export control and sanctions purposes.

  • Execute Technical Classifications: Perform export control classification of BOSCH portfolio (including products technologies and software) according to EU US and other national regimes.
  • Collaborate Across Borders: Partner closely with cross-functional engineering product development and legal stakeholders across international entities to analyze technical documentation and ensure classification precision.
  • Shape Global Compliance: Work with a global team of Export Control and Foreign Trade functions in entities in multiple countries therefore fluent communication in English is expected.
  • Navigate Regulatory Evolution: Stay ahead of the game by keeping up with evolving foreign trade regulations in particular on export control regulations and sanctions regimes in many jurisdictions.

Qualifications :

What distinguishes you:

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in International Trade Business Administration Supply Chain Management Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical qualification).

Experience:

  • Minimum 13 years of professional experience in trade compliance export controls product classification or product engineering.
  • Proven background in handling dual-use goods and applying international export control lists.

Know-how:

  • Sound understanding of EU and US export control regimes and sanctions frameworks.
  • Ability to read interpret and evaluate technical drawings product specifications and software architecture descriptions.
  • Familiarity with customs/tariff classifications (HS/CN codes) is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of ERP compliance modules (e.g. SAP GTS or MIC) is a plus.

Languages:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (working language of our international team). German is a plus.

  • Structured solution-oriented approach to complex regulatory and technical challenges.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills comfortable engaging with international and multi-disciplinary teams.

Availability:

  • This position operates on a shift rotation model to guarantee continuous support to our international operations. A dedicated allowance is applied in accordance with the applicable shift policy.
