Operating Theatre Manager
The Endoscopy Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The role includes assisting Gastroenterologists Surgeons and Specialists during procedures preparing and maintaining equipment and consumables monitoring patient recovery and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards. The Endoscopy Nurse will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe efficient and compassionate patient care.
- Assist Gastroenterologists Surgeons and Specialists during endoscopy procedures.
- Admit and prepare patients for endoscopy and related procedures.
- Monitor and record patients vital signs before during and after procedures.
- Prepare medications and sedation drugs as required.
- Administer IV medications and post-procedure medications including pain relief as prescribed.
- Provide post-procedure care and ensure patient comfort and safety during recovery.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and provide emergency care when necessary.
- Answer patients questions and address their concerns professionally and compassionately.
- Educate patients regarding procedures recovery and discharge instructions.
- Maintain patient dignity privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure effective communication with patients families and healthcare professionals.
- Complete all required documentation accurately including patient notes and discharge summaries.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support departmental reporting and audit processes as required.
- Prepare instruments equipment and consumables required for procedures.
- Clean disinfect and sterilize instruments before and after use according to infection control standards.
- Ensure proper handling storage and maintenance of endoscopy equipment.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of consumables and pharmacy supplies within the department.
- Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain professional conduct and a positive working environment.
- Participate in departmental training and continuous professional development.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the department management.
- Recognized Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure with the Nurse and Midwifery Council of Malta.
- Valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification.(Company support may be provided for certification.)
- Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and clinical procedures.
- Knowledge of emergency care and patient safety standards.
- Basic computer literacy.

Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience in embroidery and graphic design Strong knowledge of logo design and graphic creativity Hands-on experience with embroidery machines Good understanding of fabric types and color matching Basic computer skills to handle digital design files Ability to work independently and efficiently Good communication skills in English
