About the role

We are seeking a proactive Backend Software Tester to join our growing this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality functionality and performance of iCliGos products through automated testing focusing on backend testing with Java. You will work closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to identify issues early prevent defects and deliver a flawless user experience to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design implement and execute automated tests for backend services and APIs (REST SOAP and GraphQL);
• Develop and maintain API and integration test suites (functional contract and regression);
• Identify document and track bugs; collaborate with developers to resolve them;
• Conduct performance load and reliability testing of backend systems;
• Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices across the development lifecycle;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA tools frameworks workflows and CI/CD pipelines;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field;
• 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer Software Tester or in a similar role;
• Solid experience testing backend systems with Java (e.g. JUnit or TestNG);
• Hands-on experience testing REST SOAP and GraphQL APIs (e.g. Postman RestAssured SoapUI Karate);
• Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB) for test validation;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git GitHub GitLab);
• Strong knowledge of software test methodologies tools and processes;
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail;
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid/remote team.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g. JMeter Gatling or k6);
• Experience with UI/E2E automation (Playwright Cypress or Selenium) is a strong plus.
