Asset Management Project Manager

Role Summary

The Asset Management Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle performance of a portfolio of renewable assets from COD handover through long-term operation. The role combines technical oversight of O&M and service providers commercial and contractual management financial planning and strategic reporting to shareholders and lenders. As Hyperions portfolio expands from PV into BESS and Wind the PM will play a key role in onboarding new technologies shaping processes and representing the owners interests across all technical contractual and financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Asset Management

Oversee the technical performance of assigned PV BESS and Wind assets monitoring availability performance ratio energy yield and losses.

Manage O&M contractors and service providers: KPIs SLAs LDs preventive/corrective maintenance plans major component strategy and warranty claims.

Lead root-cause analyses for underperformance incidents and component failures.

Oversee spare parts strategy end-of-warranty inspections and mid-life refurbishment planning.

Support the onboarding of BESS and Wind into the portfolio: processes contracts technical standards reporting templates.

Commercial & Contractual Management

Manage project-level contracts: O&M LTSA BoP asset management insurance PPAs land grid connection and regulatory agreements.

Lead contract negotiations amendments and dispute resolution working with Legal and external advisors.

Monitor compliance with PPA and offtake obligations (availability guarantees delivery profiles curtailment penalties).

Interface with insurers on policies claims and risk surveys.

Financial & Strategic

Participate in the operating budget and forecast for the assigned portfolio (OPEX CAPEX revenues production).

Track actuals vs. budget and business plan produce variance analyses and corrective action plans.

Support the financial model lifecycle: updates to operating assumptions technical input for refinancing M&A and divestments.

Contribute to strategic decisions on repowering hybridization BESS co-location and life extension.

Prepare reporting for management shareholders lenders (technical advisor interactions waivers covenants) and auditors.

Project Management & Coordination

Plan execute and close internal projects within the portfolio: retrofits upgrades repowering BESS/hybrid additions regulatory upgrades.

Coordinate internal stakeholders (Engineering SCADA O&M Energy Management Finance Legal) and external counterparties.

Drive governance: schedule scope budget risk register decision log lessons learned.

Represent the owner in site meetings technical committees and regulatory interactions.

Must-Have Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Energy Industrial) or equivalent; complementary financial education is valued.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in asset management project management or O&M management of utility-scale renewable projects (PV essential; BESS and/or Wind highly valued).

Proven contract management experience: O&M LTSA EPC defects liability PPAs insurance.

Experience interfacing with lenders technical advisors shareholders and external auditors.

Strong project management skills;

Advanced proficiency in Excel and project management tools; familiarity with SCADA/monitoring platforms.

Fluent in English; additional languages (Portuguese Spanish) are a plus.

Availability for regular travel to project sites and counterparty meetings.

Nice to Have

Direct experience onboarding BESS or Wind into a previously PV-only portfolio.

Exposure to ancillary services markets capacity auctions and merchant BESS revenue stacks.

Experience supporting M&A processes (technical/commercial due diligence VDR management).

Familiarity with ESG reporting EU Taxonomy and sustainability frameworks applied to renewable assets.
