VACANCY: SCHOOL LIBRARIAN
A reputable British-curriculum private school in Ikeja GRA is seeking a dedicated and
organized Librarian to manage the schools library resources and promote a culture of
reading and independent learning among students.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the school library including cataloguing and stock control
Assist students and staff in locating and accessing print and digital resources
Promote reading culture through structured reading programmes and initiatives
Supervise students during library periods and maintain an orderly environment
Recommend acquire and curate relevant books and learning materials
Collaborate with academic staff to align library resources with the curriculum
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Library Science Information Management or a
related field
Previous experience in a school library setting is an added advantage
Familiarity with library management software and digital cataloguing systems
Strong organizational skills and genuine love for books and learning
Good communication skills and ability to engage students across different age
groups
Proximity to Ikeja GRA is key; punctuality is non-negotiable
