We are seeking a Tableau Architect who is local to the San Francisco Bay Area for a multi-year engagement.

As a Data Architect, you will Lead the creation of the strategic enterprise data architecture. Partners with internal stakeholders to define the principles, standards, and guidelines regarding data flow, data aggregation, migration, data curation, data model, data consumption, and data placements. Provide expertise regarding data architecture in critical programs, data strategy, and data quality remediation activities. Validates data architecture for adherence to defined policies, standards and guidelines, including regulatory directives. You'll serve as the analytics, BI, and Tableau expert, architecting and building a centralized BI platform that will serve all groups and users in the department. Furthermore, you'll create intuitive interfaces, infographics, dashboards and develop BI capabilities to give users intuitive access to data.

Responsibilities:
  • Model and transform data to provide efficient and fast access to data.
  • Requirements gathering with business stakeholders, domain: agile teamwork, people data, and hierarchies of project portfolio work
  • End-to-end data pipeline design, security review, architecture, and deployment overview
  • Define BI guidelines, define the process for code deployments and monitoring and authorization
  • Build toolkits to facilitate the creation of dashboards
  • Rapidly iterate, prototype, and implement data visualizations using advanced design and development skills.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and functions, understanding business needs to present data in a clear way telling the stories as they relate to data
  • Defines & develops enterprise data architecture concepts and standards leveraging leading architecture practices and advanced data technologies.
  • Automate reporting views used by management and executives to decide where to invest the organization's time and resources, and stay up to date on key initiatives and projects
  • Create self-service reporting, including a data lake for internal projects and resources
  • Experience in publishing and sharing dashboards and scheduling data refreshes.
  • Should have strong SQL skills, preferably over SQL Server. Strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
  • Experience with any ETL tool, preferably SSIS, is a plus.

Skills & Attributes Required
  • 7+ years of working with Tableau and analyzing data
  • 5+ years in application, data, integration, or strategic architecture
  • 1+ years of experience with regulated and or safety-critical systems
  • Proven ability to benchmark and lead innovation in engineering design practices and guidelines
  • Coordinate, write, proof, and finalize technical project documents as needed
  • Ability to design Symantec data layer for visualization
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Proven track record and portfolio of successful work in BI Visual Analytics (Tableau Public profile).
  • Experience building custom Tableau dashboards
  • Experience with generating reports out of Jira & Confluence data
  • Ability to lead a team of visualization developers
