Structural Lead

• Assume the role of team leader for the structural engineering team in Kuala Lumpur focusing on advancing the Structures engineering capabilities within the Group. Take charge of structures design input across a diverse array of projects.
  
• Oversee and assess structural engineering design work within the Business Group ensuring comprehensive structures input throughout project delivery for various projects in the general structural engineering domain. Compile detailed tender submissions for clients outlining the Structures Teams engineering prowess.
  
• Generate project reports for clients that succinctly capture structural engineering considerations. Provide strategic advice on optimal outcomes considering the overall context in which the client operates. Develop sustainable approaches to Structures engineering design and conceptualize systems for implementation.
  
• Mentor and train lessexperienced structural engineers within the Structures Team. Collaborate with other engineeringdiscipline groups to address design issues effectively.
  
• Offer guidance to Senior Management and report on matters related to the expansion and advancement of the Structures business. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements supporting Arups commitment to these standards. Provide assistance to other Structures Teams within the Australasia Division and contribute to the company s global skills networks in the Structures domain.
  
  

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering.
  
• Must possess PEPC registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia as well as Professional registration or chartership with the Institute of Engineers in other countries will be an added advantage.
  
• Substantial knowledge and experience in tall building structures engineering consultancy and design in the local marketplace including critical issues and a sound client network.
  
• Ability to undertake highlevel analysis.
  
• Substantial experience in managing key projects including the management of multidisciplinary project teams and consulting engineering environment including the ability to advise clients on costeffective sustainable solutions.
