Social Worker Intern 2024-2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Worker Intern to join our team in Illinois. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate student pursuing a degree in social work to gain handson experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. The Social Worker Intern will work under the supervision of licensed social workers to deliver essential services to individuals and families focusing on enhancing wellbeing supporting educational goals and addressing social and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with assessments and intake interviews to gather information and determine client needs.
  
• Provide direct support under supervision in individual and group counseling sessions.
  
• Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans and intervention strategies.
  
• Collaborate with school staff families and community resources to support student success and link clients to needed services.
  
• Assist in case management duties including maintaining records and monitoring client progress.
  
• Participate in professional development sessions and supervision meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in social work practice.
  
• Engage in community outreach and education initiatives as required.
  

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master s degree program in Social Work from an accredited university.
  
• Eligible for internship as part of academic curriculum requirements.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  
• Basic understanding of social work principles ethics and standards.
  
• Demonstrated commitment to helping others and passion for social work.
  
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
