Job Description

As an IT ServiceNow Administrator you will be tasked with analyzing designing developing and maintaining ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and service management ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes. Your role will require a deep understanding of CMDB and Asset Management Services encompassing knowledge of business services and configuration item relationships

What do you need to succeed

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator.
  • Experience with ServiceNow San Diego version or later.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL service management best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of CMDB and Asset Management principles.
Required Standard Skills
  • Proven ability to manage sprints releases and update sets.
  • Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript Jelly UI scripting) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to listen and communicate well with clients.
  • Ability to develop rapport with internal technical staff and leadership excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Selfstarter selfmotivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management planning and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and ability to think outsidethebox while defining sound and practical solution.

Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications a plus
What awaits you in this role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze design develop and maintain ServiceNow CMDB and service management ITIL processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of CMDB and Asset Management Services including business services and configuration item relationships.
  • Manage sprint releases and code migrations (managing update sets) in ServiceNow.
  • Establish Change Advisory Boards and identify standard change management processes.
  • Develop and enhance ITIL processes to optimize service delivery.
  • Establish platform governance to manage technical demand and ensure platform integrity.

Day to Day Activities

  • Assist with client account creation
  • Configure RBAC for users
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Administer contracts between OpenAir and ServiceNow
  • Update knowledge base articles
  • Create and modify reports and dashboards
  • Handle service requests and improvement requests
  • Collaborate with Client Success Managers on reports
