Job Description

a. This role will mainly be data entry/analyst focused with some accountability for reporting and issue resolution as well as providing support to our internal stakeholders related to Service/Material Master.
b. Create maintain and review Service/Material Master Data pertaining to multiple master data objects ensuring data consistency and accuracy across all modules within the internal ERP system.
c. Manage prioritize and execute data requests and data governance activities to meet business requirements.
d. Understand and enforce standardized data entry procedures to ensure uniformity across all impacted systems.
e. Good understanding of classification structure / taxonomy related to Service/Material Master Data.
f. Understand the various data flags and fields of each material master data object and how it relates both upstream and downstream processes.
g. Understand risk impacts within the Service/Material Master Data components across all domains to ensure the integrity of the master data.
h. Collaborate with geographically dispersed crossfunctional business teams for input into the various data governance activities.
i. Collaborate with the crossfunctional teams to understand the root causes of any data inconsistencies and help develop strategies to prevent future discrepancies.
j. Provide support to our stakeholders related to Service/Material Master Data.
k. Ensure material master data follows data governance policy at point of creation incorporating Procurement Engineering Maintenance and other divisional departments and functions.
l. Creation and or maintenance of internal procedures.
m. Provide support of mass upload requests of material master data.
n. Utilize system alerts and reports to monitor irregularities or discrepancies in data.
o. Implement data correction protocols that involve validating the accuracy of the updated data getting the necessary approvals for changes and documenting the corrections for audit purposes.
p. Ensure that all other duties set by the line manager is being completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
a. Diploma in Business or equivalent along with 13 years related experience OR 35 years combination of postsecondary education and related experience.
b. Knowledge and application of SAP S4/Hana or any ERP system with a good understanding of relevant service/material master data domains and their impact on other modules business processes and system configuration would be considered an asset.
c. Technical background (mechanical instrumentation electrical materials management etc.) or ability to interact in a technical environment is considered an preferable.
d. Good understanding of data management (governance data quality measurement and management security metadata integration)
e. Selfstarter with the ability to balance multiple tasks time and competing priorities to effectively complete tasks under tight deadlines.
f. Proficient with Microsoft Excel or Google sheet.
g. Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
h. Ability to maintain focus on a repetitive task for a long duration.
i. Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
j. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
