Senior Purchasing Executive

Our client is a leading plastic injection molding company specializing in medical pharmaceutical and lab components. Established in 1992 they hold multiple ISO certifications and value integrity respect teamwork innovation and focus. They are seeking a dedicated Senior Purchasing Executive to join their growing team.

Location: Jalan CJ 1/1 Taman Cheras Jaya 43200 Batu 9 Cheras Selangor Malaysia

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor the Purchasing Officer and Purchasing Executive.
• Process purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery.
• Negotiate favorable prices minimum order quantities (MOQs) and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Analyze and compare unit prices of raw materials and pigments and purchase components to secure the best value.
• Coordinate with Planning Supervisors/Executives to provide delivery schedules.
• Generate Goods Received Notes (GRNs) attaching necessary documentation (invoices POs PRNs) for payment.
• Source new products and identify alternative suppliers.
• Prepare and compile monthly purchasing reports.
• Develop monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
• Manage Sales and Services Tax (SST) exemptions and reporting.
• Coordinate import shipments with freight forwarders/courier services and verify invoices.
• Oversee ISOrelated purchasing documents.
• Conduct yearly Supplier Performance Assessments.
• Planned and executed supplier visits/audits in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
• Manage MIDArelated documentation and renewals and monitor incoming quantities.
• Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for raw materials and chemicals.
• Prepare reports spreadsheets and presentations as directed.
• Handle additional assignments from management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in any field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Knowledge of either MRP / ERP / SAP systems.
