Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Senior Manager, Compliance to join their team.


As the owner of the agency s second line of defence and the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Commission s quality system, information access and records management, the Senior Compliance Manager (Quality, Access and Records) is responsible for the agency s information governance (quality management system framework, policies), compliance with information access requirements (GIPA and Standing Order 52) and ensuring compliance with the State Records Act (including facilitating the effective and efficient operation of the Commission s records management.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and oversee the Commission s development of a quality management system aligned to ISO9001.
  2. Review, coordinate and manage all processes, policies and procedures (in accordance with the quality management system developed).
  3. Manage all enquiries and applications under the Government Information, Privacy and external complaints to ensure operational, regulatory, and statutory compliance across the organisation.
  4. Manage an enterprise information and records management program and ensure that the organisational information management solutions are aligned with best practice and meet business requirements.
  5. Develop and manage the Commission s business continuity framework, including the development and oversight of critical business processes.
  6. Support the implementation of the Commission s second line of defence activities, including review of effectiveness of controls to the Commission s key risks.
  7. Manage the Commission s complaints management framework, including the management of the Commission s records management system as an effective information management tool, ensuring it has a robust security framework and is developed in accordance with business needs and compliance requirements (including monitoring compliance, disposal of records, and advice/training around Records).
  8. Provide a high level of records management support across the Commission to ensure the preservation of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of records.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Practical experience in records management or information management; developing compliance plans and conducting compliance reviews; and developing a quality management system in line with ISO9001.
  2. Demonstrated experience or strong knowledge and ability to respond to information access enquiries and applications (GIPA, SO52 and Privacy).
  3. Strong understanding of records management legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

On offer is a 6 month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
