Seeking Assistant Speech Language Pathologist

• Schedule activities and maintain records.
  
• Perform equipment checks and maintenance.
  
• Assist the SLP during assessments and perform clerical duties.
  
• Assist with research projects inservice training and education.
  
• Document progress and report information to the supervising SLP.
  
• Implement treatment plans or protocols developed by a supervising SLP.
  
• Act as an interpreter for nonEnglishspeaking families when competent to do so.
  
• Conduct speechlanguage screenings using ageappropriate protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
  

Requirements

• Active Illinois SLPA license required.
  
• Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant program.
  
• Bachelor s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
