- Schedule activities and maintain records.
- Perform equipment checks and maintenance.
- Assist the SLP during assessments and perform clerical duties.
- Assist with research projects inservice training and education.
- Document progress and report information to the supervising SLP.
- Implement treatment plans or protocols developed by a supervising SLP.
- Act as an interpreter for nonEnglishspeaking families when competent to do so.
- Conduct speechlanguage screenings using ageappropriate protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
Requirements
- Active Illinois SLPA license required.
- Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant program.
- Bachelor s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
