Project Manager - Video Production

VIDEO PRODUCTION PROJECT MANAGER:
Position Overview:
The Project Manager for video production is the "glue" that keeps video productions on track and running seamlessly. Thus, this position requires someone with exceptional organizational and most importantly exemplary communication skills. The pace of work on this small but nimble team is fast and requires a person who is an over-communicator.
Assist with planning and coordinating activities involved with video production at City of Hope. This includes working alongside the Director of Multimedia on oversight of video production including managing production schedules on several simultaneous projects; working with a team of in-house and out-of-house videographers; ensuring adherence to production timelines.
More than half the time spent in this position will involve keeping a calendar of a dozen or more projects, making sure everyone on the team is apprised of shoots and deadlines; and being a conduit between the production team and clients.
Work with producer(s) on set-ups/permissions for (both during pre-production and on-site) video shoots; manage production schedules and coordinate resources.
Manage workflow of productions, using Salesforce-based and other platforms, ensuring frequent and clear communication with clients about production needs and deadlines.
Manage collection and organization/administration of talent releases. Coordinate with staff member for the same on HIPAA releases. Work to ensure all releases are intact and videos in production and circulation are compliant.
Assess the efficacy of projects using analytics and follow-ups with clients.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
5-8 years of experience in video production management. Proven track record for managing multi-faceted and sometimes complex productions. Production experience required. Project management experience in science/medicine preferred. Previous work on productions involving complex science explanation preferred.

Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Marketing, Business, or Video Production.
Advanced Degree preferred
Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.

Location: Hybrid, mostly remote. Periodic onsite work at Rivergrade.

Schedule: Day shift. Part time. 20+ hours/week based on shoot schedules/productions/meetings.

FTE/Conversion possibility: Possible FTE depending on performance.

It's important for us to stress the level of production work we do and that we are looking for candidates who are experienced with high-level, visible video productions
It's critical that the candidates have a strong background in production so they can speak the so-called "language" of production with crews
