Position

Key to delivering worldclass products to our customers is the ability to optimize the quality cost and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Director of Operations the Production Manager s primary responsibility is to manage the operations of all production areas to ensure that volume cost and quality standards are achieved while supervising personnel to ensure production goals are met. This position is responsible for continually improving the flow of goods to meet the sales and operating income budgets. Formulates and drives the monthly and annual production plan while meeting and exceeding quality and service expectations.


Responsibilities

Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all HandyTube employees.

Plans and establishes work schedules staffing requirements and production sequences to maximize productivity.

Provides production process analysis and makes recommendations on solutions to process improvements.

Ensures conformance to established procedures and product quality levels.

Identifies production fail tests or tolerance levels and supervise repairs as necessary.

Familiar with a variety of the field s concepts practices and procedures.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Manages staff in the daytoday operations and performance of their jobs.

Extensive knowledge of production/department processes.

Ensures production goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

Work with Engineering on new projects and cost saving processes as needed.

Working with Quality department as needed to ensure material standards.

Meet OnTime Delivery demands.

Manage scrap reduction based on production errors.

Performs other tasks as assigned.



Requirements

5 years production/supervisory experience.

Associates or Bachelor s degree preferred; experience will be considered.

Experience with QAD EAM or other enterprise systems required.

Proficient computer skills including Windows and MS Office Suite and Excel.

Ability to manage at various levels across the production floor.

Highly motivated selfstarter with attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills and decisionmaking ability.

Strong conflict resolution and problemsolving skills.

Lean manufacturing experience.

Experience with personnel training.

Excellent communication skills.

Must possess a mechanical aptitude.

Flexibility to work odd hours in support of 24/7 facility.

Ability to use hands to finger handle or feel objects and tools reach with hands and arms and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Positive attitude good judgment and excellent time management skills.
