The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to a Maintenance Manager and is responsible for managing maintenance operations during a shift. This includes leading and training the staff following maintenance processes and coordinating maintenance and upkeep of equipment with the production team. The supervisor must follow best practices of operating in a USDA facility and lead efforts to continuously improve processes in a lean environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the team is safe and all safety procedures are followed. While all work areas are kept in the highest safety standard possible.

Ensures company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company cleanliness standards.

Strong ability to motivate lead and give direction to team members.

Oversee shift operation ensuring all standard work is covered while prioritizing key equipment repairs identified by the shift leadership.

Utilization of CMMS as a leadership tool.

Discover training needs and provide coaching.

Has good time management skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and shift leadership.

Ensure staffing needs are met according to standard and works to improve to an efficient workflow.

Maintains weekly schedules and attendance records.

Provide leadership coaching development and training to the Maintenance team to accomplish company goals and values.

Works alongside department leadership to create and promote equipment preventive/predictive maintenance programs that ensures maximized life cycles and performance.

Adhere to HACCP plan and production controls and ensure all team members follow established protocol in a USDA plant.

Requirements

Proven ability to lead a group of people to accomplish established targets. Strong interpersonal skills are a must for this role.

Ability to solve problems and present effective and efficient solutions in a clear and concise manner. Must be detail oriented and organized yet flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Five or more years of experience with equipment maintenance in a production facility.

Solid computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) and CMMS systems.

Able to prioritize workload according to changing demands.

Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.

Desire to learn grow and contribute to a teambased environment.

Experience creating and implementing preventive and/or predictive maintenance tasks.

Experience coaching and motivating teams.

Five or more years of experience in a leadership role.

Valid driver s license




Experience with power tools, hand tools and calibrated tools (torque wrenches, calipers, & scales) Able to read blue prints and specifications Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 6 to 8 hours a day Good Attitude
