Contractor will provide resources for Global Engineering Labs Technician, reporting to the Global Engineering Labs team in Longmont.

Lab Anywhere Agent Global Engineering Labs Technician, GEL Longmont

  • Need a tech savvy, brutally honest person who learns fast, performs under pressure, and values candor between peers.
  • To be successful, this person will need a can-do-attitude and the ability to execute tasks with a sense of urgency, always.
  • This GEL agent will be the "hands-on" contact for Micron engineers around the globe and will provide on-site general support for product development lab as a primary function.

    Product Development Lab support will follow Micron Global Engineering Lab Manual and Micron Policy, Procedures and Standards.

    ( contributions related to product development, infrastructure reliability, and dev/qual team enablement)

    Some of the ways our team strives to add value:

  • Support of site operational stability, requirements gathering for support orgs or customers.
  • Ordering, Assembly, Installation, Configuration, and Debug of Systems tools as required
  • Fielding requests to identify, maintain, or procure equipment, tools, and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinating with team leads, sending notifications and/or interpreting and distilling them.
  • Gathering and interpreting data related to power, network, physical space capacity planning.
  • This role will support local engineering as well as remote assists Micron employees, partners, and vendors.

    Remote support:

  • Installation, Movement, Maintenance, Debug, or Repair of Global Engineering Lab Equipment
  • Oscilloscopes, SATA/NVME protocol analyzers, Thermoscopes, and Enterprise Server/Storage products)

    • Assisting engineers as they field complex remote assist requests- including component-level failure analysis, storage device rework, and component/hardware debug

    Completing tasks w/minimal direction, typically connectivity/cable debug, network, or OS config tweaks, capturing traces of traffic, and systems troubleshooting

    The Remote Engineering Support engagements will be fielded via HoloLens, iPad, or Zoom, but also through traditional interactions (Jira, Service Now, MS Teams chats, and email)

    Local support/tasks:

    • Rack Build & Teardown, Data Center environment- Assembly & Install
    • Power & Network Cable Management (in-rack & under-bench)
    • Lab Management / Process Improvement / Equipment PMs
    • EHS / ESD / 6S / ISO 9001 - Audit Preparation & Compliance
    • Capital Asset & Product Inventory / Material Management / Purchasing
    • Tools & Services Calibration, Access / Availability / Investigation

    We also serve our customers across multiple organizations as Liaisons for IT, Security, Facilities, and EHS with deliverables related to:

    • Space planning, International Asset Transfers, PM, and vendor support for CRAC, UPS, Busway power distribution.
    • DHCP/DNS mods, Malware remediation, Data-Center logistics, RFID system operation, BAS monitoring & systems support.
    • Business Continuity Planning, Scrap Management, and anything/everything we can do to improve our customer's experience,

    Helpful experience could be:

    • Configuring, racking, maintaining Enterprise Sever and Storage Hardware
    • Professional or amateur Soldering/rework experience, certification is not a requirement
    • Systems admin experience i.e., DHCP, DNS, L2 Net, DCIM- Infoblox/Solarwinds/Sunbird
    • Familiarity with product test or rapid development cycles on support or customer side

    Candidates must have:

    • Ability to regularly lift objects 35-50lbs, move/adjust objects 900+ lbs. w/equipment assist.
    • Ability to operate HoloLens and be on camera during remote eng. engagements as needed
