Exciting Opportunity: Commissioning Technician (Automotive Supply Chain) $100000 p.a. Extensive Travel

Location: Auburn Hills MI (with approximately 90% travel)

About the Role:

As a Commissioning Technician youll be instrumental in the startup and commissioning of cuttingedge hardware and software tailored to meet customer specifications. This field support position offers an exceptional chance to work under the guidance of the Manager of Technical Services and the Director of Operations with responsibilities that span across oversight management and site supervision to align with project objectives and timelines.

Your Mission:

  • Spearhead the commissioning of projects and products ensuring seamless equipment startup and debugging.
  • Verify installations debug control systems and maintain the integrity of project specifications.
  • Engage in project performance analysis data collection and contribute actively to project scheduling.
  • Generate detailed site reports offer standby customer support and assist in supplier selection and management.
  • Embrace extensive travel leading onsite supervision and team collaboration to drive project success.

Who You Are:

  • Armed with a High School Diploma (Bachelors preferred) and at least 5 years in a relevant field.
  • A connoisseur of paint finishing products or similar industries with a keen understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proficient in P&ID schematics regulatory standards PLCs (e.g. Allen Bradley) AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. SAP knowledge is a bonus.
  • You possess excellent time management organizational and communication skills capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and ready to tackle challenges in a learning environment with openness to overtime and travel.
