Furniture Designer

Job Description

• Stay up to date on current industry trends and market conditions.
• Create moodboards and sketches for schematic design
• Creating technical drawings.
• Design products include making calculations of product dimensions.
• Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
• Designs furniture for manufacturing, according to the knowledge of design trends, offerings of competition, production costs
• Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming
• Analyzing how a new product ties in with market needs and target consumer preferences
• Use 3D modeling software to design products and components
• Responsible to ensure the accuracy of the technical specifications before production
• Troubleshooting any design problems that may arise during the design process needed
• Maintain a high level of production while maintaining quality.

Job Requirements

• The applicant must have a meaningful experience in furniture design, high attention to detail and communication skills.
• 3D modelling furniture pieces
• Bachelor Degree of Faculty of Applied Arts
• At least 1 year of experience in Furniture/Product Design
• Well-organized.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino, or other design programs
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under limited supervision using standard practices.
• Experience in Quality Control
• Good communication skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong visual awareness and an eye for detail
• Be inventive and imaginative
• Be passionate about furniture.
